Mechanism

Aluminium Hydroxide & Magnesium Hydroxide: Neutralize excess stomach acid and reduce acidity.
Magnesium Aluminium Silicate Hydrate: Acts as a protective coating for the gastric mucosa.
Simethicone: Breaks down gas bubbles, relieving bloating and discomfort.

Pharmacokinetics

  • Onset of action: Within 15–30 minutes after ingestion.
  • Duration: Up to 3 hours depending on gastric emptying.
  • Excretion: Primarily via feces.

Side Effects

  • Constipation (due to Aluminium Hydroxide)
  • Diarrhea (due to Magnesium Hydroxide)
  • Nausea or mild stomach discomfort

Contraindication

  • Severe renal impairment
